We've reported on open source for some time, and we still hear passionate cases for and against in schools. What do you think?

IN my graduate and undergraduate educational technology courses, we only use open source software. Philosophically, it is good modeling to use sources that are responsive to the users' needs, the cost is great, and despite some bugs from time to time-not bloated with features that are not useful.

I've used Moodle for several years and I just want to yell THANK YOU! to everyone that works on it. My students love having Moodle and I love that I can control the environment. It is one of the best free tools I've ever used. Not perfect, but you can't deny its valuable contribution to education.

In our school we use open source.
Moodle, openoffice, cmaptools,...
and it's not a problem.
