SonicWALL, Inc. today announced its Mobile Connect™ app for Google® Android™ smartphones and tablets is available for download via the Android Market. In conjunction with SonicWALL's SSL VPN and Next-Generation Firewall product lines, the app provides Google Android users with network-level access to corporate, academic and government resources over encrypted SSL VPN.
Deployed with a SonicWALL Next-Gen Firewall solution (featuring Gateway Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware and Intrusion Prevention Service), Mobile Connect establishes a Clean VPN™ that authorizes, decrypts and removes threats from Android device traffic over SSL VPN outside the network perimeter. Additionally, network administrators can identify which Google Android apps should receive critical bandwidth, allowing performance for key education applications to remain available.
