The Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop has released a report entitled Kids Online: A new research agenda for understanding social networking forums. The report takes a comprehensive look at what we know about kids’ social networking activities. The authors, Dr. Deborah Fields and Dr. Sara Grimes, identify key gaps in our collective knowledge of these activities and the need for additional research to learn more about how children are using social networks, how they can be better utilized for their developing skills and how to better protect children in their online activities.
