Milestone Documents has released U.S. Presidential Speeches, the first iPhone app to connect users with expert analysis of key documents in American history.

The basic version includes the complete text of 90 of the most-studied speeches of U.S. presidents, from George Washington to Barack Obama. With an upgrade to the Pro version get a complete analysis of the speech by the Milestone Documents' team of historians and scholars.

The app includes a variety of tools, such as advanced searching, note creation that can be displayed inline and emailed, as well as a night mode that allows for low-light reading. Glossaries define difficult or unusual terms, and users can also customize fonts, size, colors, margins, spacing, and alignment, plus highlight in a rainbow of colors.

The company expects to release apps designed as teacher activity guides for U.S. and world history instructors. They will be available in 2010 along with other history-themed apps, including Supreme Court Decisions, Obama Speeches and Analysis, and Lincoln Speeches and Analysis.

U.S. Presidential Speeches is a mobile application for the iPhone and iPod Touch. For more information or to download, visit www.itunes.com and search keywords "Presidential Speeches."
