A global collaboration designed to accelerate STEMx* education was announced by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE®) and the New Media Consortium (NMC).

Beginning in June 2013, the HP Catalyst Academy will offer its first set of online mini-courses, covering a range of topics such as digital fabrication, computational thinking, remote labs, game design and social media.  Participants will learn how to work with students to develop mobile applications that solve real world problems by being matched online with professional designers, developers and entrepreneurs.

For more information, go to www.hp.com/go/hpcatalyst.

*The HP Catalyst Initiative created the acronym "STEMx" to expand STEM to include disciplines like computer science, nanoscience and, biotech as well as skills such as collaboration, creativity, communication, problem solving, inquiry, computational thinking and global fluency.
