SchoolCenter, a strategic web solutions company in the K-12 education market, has announced that Mary McCaffrey, a 20-year veteran education technology executive, has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective immediately. She succeeds Curtis Baird, co-founder of SchoolCenter, in the position of CEO.
 
In her previous post as President of Pearson's School Systems group, McCaffrey, 48, transitioned the business to its current technology leadership position.  Her hands-on responsibilities included guiding operations, services, product development, sales and marketing.
