Discovering Jupiter's Moons

On January 6, 1610, Galileo discovered the four largest moons of Jupiter.  This site from PBS’s NOVA offers background information about Galileo’s discovery, some discussion questions, and a short video which describes Galileo’s telescope and some of his first discoveries using it.  You can also find links to additional information about Galileo and his advancements.
