As a professional developer, you can use the work of experts and other professional developers to support your work. Reading material can be shared before, during, or after any session. The different types of resources that you might want to collect include:

• Relevant articles from print-based journals
• Presentation handouts from conferences
• Web-based articles
• Cartoons that you can use in your presentations
• Videos you can show during a workshop
• Chapters from books you want your participants to read
• Music to play during your presentation

For each resource, you will want to get permission to use the material unless it states clearly that the resource is copyright-free which allows you to duplicate and share it as part of your work. Most information is protected by copyright and, in some cases, getting permission may take some time.
