New Android tablet released

Toshiba's Digital Products Division (DPD) today confirmed details of the upcoming launch of the Thrive™ Tablet, its first Android™-powered tablet for the U.S. market.

The Thrive Tablet is powered by the NVIDIA® Tegra™2 and Android 3.1, Honeycomb,  and offers a 10.1-inch diagonal high-resolution (1280x800), multi-touch LED backlit widescreen display, pair of high-resolution cameras, virtual keyboard, and a  full suite of sensors, including a Gyroscope and Accelerometer. Also featured are  full-size ports, including USB 2.0, HDMI® and an SD Card slot; and pre-loaded applications, including Toshiba File Manager and PrinterShare™.

The Thrive Tablet and corresponding accessories will be available at a starting MSRP of $429.99.
