New digital science curriculum and more

Encyclopedia Britannica announced at ISTE the following new, recent, and forthcoming digital products:

Pathways: Science - A new supplemental science curriculum program for use in the classroom (grade 6-8) that helps students resolve those enduring misunderstandings about science that persist even after they’ve been taught a topic in school. Available this fall.

Britannica SmartMath – An online math practice system for grades K-6 that engages students with fun avatars and customizes exercises for each student. By the fall it will cover grades 7 and 8 as well.

Britannica e-books – A collection of more than 300 nonfiction books on curriculum topics for all grade levels and on a wide range of subjects. They’re easier than ever to use for research now that they’re in digital form.

Britannica ImageQuest – A vast database of photos and images for student research and projects. Images come from more the 50 of the world’s best collections and are rights-cleared for educational use.

Britannica Kids Apps Series –  Created for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, apps include fact-packed articles, interactive games, photos, video and a variety of puzzles and quizzes.

Britannica Online School Edition (school.eb.com)  –  A comprehensive reference and learning portal for PreK-12. It ncludes four encyclopedias and 124,000 articles, as well as atlases, dictionaries, timelines and multimedia, and lessons, study guides and learning activities.

Mobile Apps  A series covering history, science and geography, for the iPad and other iOS mobile devices in the classroom. For elementary and middle school.
