New textbook apps turn iPod into study center

Kaplan Publishing and ScrollMotion have announced a range of Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) and U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE)  text book apps will be available from the App Store in February. The apps allow students to use iPad, iPhone or iPod touch to highlight text, take audio and printed notes, search content by topic or type, take quizzes, navigate efficiently and more.
 
Features include text highlighting, recording audio or print notes, text search, interactive quizzes, and short videos.

The five MCAT titles and eight USMLE titles can be purchased separately for $29.99 each or as an MCAT package for $129.99 and USMLE package for $219.99.

The apps will be available in February from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore/.
