Photo Dropper

I am often asked by teachers about sources for royalty-free images for use in presentations and blog posts. I recently learned about Photo Dropper, a Wordpress plug-in that allows you to easily search for and place Creative Commons licensed photos from Flickr in your blog postings. The plug-in provides a search field that allows you to search via key words. It provides the option of placing a small, medium or large image in your post and automatically includes attribution for the photo, which is also an important lesson for students to learn. The setup options allow you to automatically exclude images that are not commercially usable and also allows you to sort your search returns based on keywords. I have added this plug-in to our school blogs and now have my teachers using the tool to find images for use in class and on posts for student assignments.
