trcstrThe most common use of this Portable TV production studio would probably be to produce a daily “news” segment of school announcements.  But, since TriCaster DUO allows simultaneous Broadcast and Web cast, a school could Web cast school plays, convocations, classes, and athletic events.

Pros: TriCaster DUO is relatively lightweight (10 pounds) and can be set up in less than 10 minutes. It can be operated by one person (if needed) and is easy enough to be used by upper elementary students--but has enough features for high school students

Cons: None.

Overall Impression: The TriCaster DUO allows anyone to produce professional-looking,  broadcast-quality TV production with little or no training.  The TriCaster DUO has three camera inputs, a DVR input, computer input, network input, still photo store, video store. All these inputs, plus chromaKey (green screen) capabilities, gives you more than enough tools.  In addition, the TriCaster DUO comes with a curriculum guide that matches activities with NETS and NCLB standards. NewTek also has accessories for you TriCastor DUO, like a video switcher, or software like SpeedEdit (editing software), LiveText (titling software), which run from around $150 to $1,000.
