Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Unveils Next Generation of ELA Programs

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt announced today that it will introduce the latest editions of its programs Collectionsand Journeys at the National Council for Teachers of English annual conference in Minneapolis, November 19-22 (Booth #635). HMH will also showcase the integration of its new stable of English language development resources and literacy intervention solutions, including the recently acquired READ 180.

Journeys ©2017(K-6) andCollections©2017 (6-12) together offer a complete K-12 language arts solution. HMH’s core reading and ELA programs feature shared digital resources and experiences, from personalized student and teacher dashboards to interactive note-taking and writing tools.

HMH’s newest English language development program Escalate English provides supplemental material for students in grades 4-8 who have reached a plateau in their academic English acquisition. The program offers age-appropriate and relevant fiction, informational text and other multimedia resources that engage students in active language use across a variety of contexts, from conversations to academic writing.

READ 180leverages adaptive learning technology and teacher facilitated instruction to help struggling readers close their achievement gaps. System 44enables intensive intervention for students who have not yet mastered foundational reading skills while Inside the Textoffers supplemental intervention to complement core instruction.
