Access to Technology Related Electives

I'm concerned that our technology-related electives do not seem to attract a good cross section of our student body. Do you have any suggestions?

Start by taking a long, hard look at your master schedule. It's not always possible to make every elective course a viable choice for every student, but you may find that by offering an additional section, or by changing the period when a course is offered, more students are able to consider enrolling in a course. For example, try to avoid scheduling a singleton multimedia elective during the same period when a singleton core content class is taught, such as the only section of an AP course, or the only section of an advanced foreign language course. This forces students to choose one class over the other. In many cases, students don't select this type of elective is due to scheduling conflicts, not lack of interest.
