The IT Guy
Things We Forget
Question:
What does the Bcc: in an e-mail mail address mean?
The IT Guy says:
It means "Blind Carbon Copy."
Unlike a letter you cc: to someone, the person getting the e-mail will not know the Bcc went to the Bcc: addressee.
This can be a Major relationship ender when you aren't aware someone is getting a response when you hit the reply to all choice in your answer. Normally only management types and union reps (like me) use the BCC function. "I never got that memo, Bill!" Heh heh heh.
Use it like chili powder. A little goes a long way.
