Disable Floppy Drive Access

Question: How do I disable the A drive from a computer? I work at a school and viruses are transferred via the A drive. That is why I would like to disable it's use.

The IT Guy says:
I would discourage you from disabling the A drive, because it is often needed to use as a bootup device when installing a new hard drive or cloning the hard drive. A better option might be to set up a policy of no floppy disk use, or to install security software on all computers that restricts users from accessing the floppy drive, like Fortres 101. If you are determined to disable the floppy drive, you should be able to do this from the device manager. Opening the device manager depends on which version of Windows you are running. You should be able to open it from the control panels, regardless of your Windows version.
