PDQ (Professional Development QuickTips)

Helping Teachers Organize

Category: Adult Learners

Tip:
When you evaluate teachers' technology proficiency levels, you may find that they are a varied group. Many will be at the Management level and need help in organizing files, folders, and programs. You can help them by:

  • Working with the administration and technology department to set up an organized system for teacher and student folders on the server.
  • Creating a step-by-step guide with screen shots for teachers that help them to find, open, and save files.
  • Working with teachers individually to organize student folders for storing classroom work.
  • Developing a step-by-step guide with screen shots for students that is laminated and available with each computer.
