PDQ (Professional Development QuickTips)

How to get teachers to attend workshops

Category: Marketing Workshops

Tip:
Ever create a workshop and nobody showed up? I'd like to share several strategies that we use to attract and support our teachers.

  • Pay stipends for teachers' time at any after-school workshop.
  • Offer the workshop during the day and pay for a substitute teacher. (This is especially powerful when teams of teachers are given a whole day to work together)
  • Create a series of workshops and offer them for college credit(s).
  • Offer online workshops.
