Site of the Day

Name: CEEE GirlTech Lesson Plans 2000

What's at the Site:
GirlTECH teachers designed these lesson plans to take full advantage of Internet resources and to teach mathematics and science concepts in new and exciting ways. The site has links to lesson plans that can be used to explore gravity, physics, motion, and math. GirlTech developed the pages but the science and math is great for both girls and boys.

How to use the site:
Select the lessons by year (http://www.crpc.rice.edu/CRPC/Women/GirlTECH/Lessons/index.html) or go directly to the latest lessons for the year 2000 (http://www.crpc.rice.edu/CRPC/Women/GirlTECH/Lessons/index00.html). You can read a short summary of a lesson before going to the actual page. Then can choose the interactive lesson or the print version of the same lesson for students. In some cases, such as The Tower Challenge, students can submit their findings. Check lessons for 2000 and earlier and come back in the future for the 2001 listing.
