Site of the Day

Name: MathCats.com

Brief Description of the Site:
Math Cats promotes creative, open-ended explorations of important math concepts through activities such as Tessellation Town, Polygon Playground, What a Crowd, Exploding Math Art and much more.

How to use the site:
In addition to the many online interactive math activities, there are also printable activities for offline concept development (such as hexagon-shaped fact family cards to be used with a collection of offline fact family activities). There is a section of math crafts with instructions for making 2D and 3D art projects using math. There are also idea banks for teachers with lots of creative approaches to teaching math and links to useful resources.
