Site of the Day

Name: Keystone Jr.-Sr. High School

Brief Description of the Site:
Keystone Jr.-Sr. High School is part of the Keystone School District, located in northwestern Pennsylvania. Approximately 600 students currently attend the school. The primary purpose of the site is to provide information to parents and students about upcoming events, and to share recent activities through the Picture Gallery and links from the Home page.

How to use the site:
Parents and students appreciate the timely information posted on the Home page and in the Picture Gallery, but visiting teachers will want to head straight for the Projects section of the site. Seven student projects are currently spotlighted, and two are of particular interest. The first, a Digital Grassroots Project called "Keystone, Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow," is a digital history of the surrounding community created by the sophomore class during the 2001-02 school year under the guidance of the English and Social Science departments, with the support of many teachers across the content areas. The second project consists of simple interactive storybooks written by 11th grade Honors English students for local Kindergarten students.
