Additional Professional Development Programs
The field of professional development presents approaches that suit a variety of interests and learning levels. Here are further offerings, ranging from extensive online self-assessment packages to on-site training and support.
Co-nect
Co-nect offers a network of online and on-site consulting resources and professional development training. CEUs and professional credit are available in states that have approved accreditation of Co-nect courses.
FutureKids
FutureKids School Technology Solutions offers on-site technology training and curriculum integration courses for teachers. Novice and advanced-level training is available.
iAssess
A three-part program, iAssess offers a confidential online self-assessment program for educators. Initial assessments use state standards to determine if teachers meet proficiency requirements. Additional evaluative components can measure anything from faculty curriculum needs to technology skills. Diagnostic reports then customize a plan for goal setting and program implementation.
TimeforTeachers
An extension of TimeforKids' Web site, inSummer inService offers a series of online workshops designed to offer strategies for managing and integrating technology in the classroom. Topics change weekly and will be archived at the site.
