School Site of the Month

By Susan Brooks-Young

Carpenters Middle School in Maryville, Tenn., just one year old, sports an attractive Web site that does a good job providing information about the new school. Especially nice is Teacher Tracks, found in Academics. Using Trackstar, teachers are building online lessons, with eight now available including Drawing Skills, Plate Tectonics, and Possible Poetry Pathways. There is also a nice QuickTime retrospective of last year in Special Events.

Susan Brooks-Young is an educational consultant and writer.
