Aiming to tap into kids' fascination with dinosaurs to teach science, the Jurassic Park Institute site (www.jpinstitute.com) includes news from paleontologists in the field, a glossary, and interactive games. Of particular interest is the Dino Lab, where students will hardly notice they're learning the scientific method as they view fossils online, build their own dinosaurs, and take virtual field trips to dig sites. Teachers can tie it all together with provided standards-based lesson plans, discussion questions, adaptations for different age groups, and more. Though the institute is part of the Jurassic Park film franchise, the site is almost entirely ad-free.
