BoomWriter today announced that Jordan Knight of New Kids on the Block will serve as a celebrity guest author for the company’s upcoming national book writing contest.  The competition will begin on Halloween and continue through mid-December. Anyone in grades 4-12 can participate.

Knight worked with BoomWriter to write the first chapter of a book titled The Dark Star Rises. Contest participants will begin by writing what they think chapter two should be and then subsequent chapters. Each chapter will be voted on by other participants and a winner for each chapter will be recognized. The final book will be formally published and participants will be able to receive copies of the final book. The book will be published by BoomWriter and available for all to buy online.
