"Recycling Rumble" winners announced

 More than 1,146 total participants nationwide vied for the Top Recycler title during the “Recycling Rumble,” a one-on-one recycling competition hosted annually by FundingFactory ®. From February 13 to April 30, FundingFactory participants competed to recycle the largest quantity of electronic waste (e-waste).

Throughout the competition, participants collected and shipped e-waste – used inkjet and toner cartridges, cell phones, MP3 players, digital cameras and GPS devices – to FundingFactory. Participants earned one point for each qualifying item redeemable for cash or new technology.
 
The top recycler overall, Manteca High School of Manteca, Calif., recycled 6,535 items and will receive a new Apple® iPad®.
