AV Technology magazine is offering a free Master Class on IP Video. The primer, hosted by Dr. Phil Hippensteel of Penn State Harrisburg, focuses on IP video technology trends, developments, pertinent products, install challenges, as well as close examinations of MPEG Transport, WebRTC, SVC, and DASH.

"This is a free, fascinating IP video primer for AV and IT managers and technicians working across the commercial vertical spectrum," said Margot Douaihy, editor, AV Technology and EDUwire.com. "It will be especially useful for AV professionals taking the newly revised InfoComm CTS exam which includes more emphasis on IP, Ethernet, and networking."

The Master Class also features Sherry Mettley, IT director at Penn State University College of Medicine/Hershey Medical Center, who explains the technical and legal logistics of deploying IPTV.
