The Great Common Core Debate

11/25/2013 6:43:00 AM
Tired of arguing politics and/or religion over the Thanksgiving table? This year you can substitute them with Common Core adoption! To help you prepare, there is interesting reporting from the Washington Post here and here. Parental misgivings about obtuse assessments are going viral. State senators in Maryland are joining in on the Common Core hate too. Secretary Duncan didn’t help matters with his remarks. It’s not all bad news for Core supporters though. Connecticut just delivered $24 million for tech upgrade in order to be reading for Common Core testing. San Mateo, CA is also seeing funds for transition. Where do you stand?
