Lightspeed Systems and Microsoft Partner to Provide Device Management

Mobile Manager provides schools with a solution to roll out, manage, and implement mobile devices, offering cross-platform policy controls, app deployment, and reporting. Windows 8.1 is the latest supported OS for Mobile Manager, joining iOS, MacOS, Android, and Windows 8.

Mobile Manager now includes new features to support Windows 8.1. New features for Mobile Manager for Win 8.1 include:

  • Student Information System (SIS) integration
  • Support for Windows Store App Deployment Program
  • Time-based policies to allow different in-school and after-school use
  • Device restrictions, including Windows Error reporting, data roaming, OneDrive control, Smart Screen enable, and more
  • Bluetooth control – critical for online testing
  • Device status updates
  • Wi-Fi and VPN provisioning
  • Parental controls
