E-rate Filing Window Dates Announced for 2013

The Funding Year 2013 Form 471 filing window dates have been officially released. The FY2013 filing window will be open for 93 days beginning at 12:00 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, and closing at 11:59 p.m. Eastern on Thursday, March 14, 2013.
Funding Year 2013 will follow one of the largest funding years in the history of the program. In FY2012, requests for discounts on certain communications services increased for the fourth straight year as schools and libraries across the nation requested more than $5 billion in E‑rate funds.
The last day to submit a Form 470 and still wait the required 28 days before selecting a service provider by the window closing is Feb. 14, 2013.
Funds For Learning’s E-rate Manager for Applicants is a web-based tool that helps schools and libraries secure technology funding through the E-rate program, by enabling applicants to generate E-rate forms and paperwork, track pending applications, receive notifications of upcoming deadlines, and stay compliant with document retention requirements.
