Lots of great stuff happening out there in the land of edtech: NPR highlights Grissom High School’s cybersecurity class, in Huntsville AL, aka “Rocket City.” Scientific American details New York City’s iZone initiative, which pairs software developers and teacher to improve classroom software (what a concept!). Even the beleaguered district of Camden, NJ is starting the new year with new tech, according to Philly.com. It’s not all peachy however, as Daniel Luzer at Washington Monthly online points to schools without air conditioning that need to close because of heat waves.—Kevin Hogan, Editorial Director
