Edgenuity announces the winners of its second-annual “Every Click Counts” video contest, highlighting stories of online and blended learning success from partner schools and districts across the country. Grand-prize winner Ketchikan Gateway Borough School District in Alaska will receive a $5,000 technology grant and runners up Coppell Independent School District in Texas and Henrico County School District in Virginia will receive courtesy software licenses to offer Edgenuity courses to additional students.
Ketchikan’s winning video highlights how the flexibility of online learning allows high school students to graduate early, make up for missed credits, and pursue personal goals beyond the classroom.
“By enrolling in Edgenuity classes, I have been able to manage time to my advantage [and] pursue my dreams of becoming a politician,” said senior Trevor Shaw. “This year I became the second-youngest publically elected official in the history of Alaska, winning a seat with the Ketchikan School Board.” To see the full videos, click here.
