The media continues to report that the ongoing emphasis on math and reading test scores is squeezing time for art and music out of the curriculum.

Yes, the amount of art and music has changed, but not because of academics. It has changed because our school has almost doubled in size and there's still only 1 art and 1 music teacher to see all those children.
