Recycle for Dollars

More than 3.2 million
tons of electronic
waste is piled into
U.S. landfills each
year. At the same
time, budgets at schools are being
slashed across the board. To help
with these issues, FundingFactory
is expanding its list of electronics
that organizations can recycle in
return for funding. FundingFactory
program participants can now
exchange small electronics 
such as
digital cameras, MP3 players, and
GPS systems for cash or points
redeemable for new technology.
The new qualifying items join inkjet
cartridges, cell phones and laser cartridges
as items accepted as part of
the FundingFactory program.
