The recent National Center for
Women & Information Technology
(NCWIT) Summit in New York was
a rewarding day of sharing ideas
and resources for connecting girls
to innovative STEM programs.
Here are some highlights of these
resources:
Botball.org: Global, national,
and regional robotics competitions
for grades six through 12
Getting Hands-On with Soft
Circuits: A workshop guide for creating
an e-textiles program in schools.

encourages high school girls to
pursue careers in computers
Mouse Squad NYC: Not just for
girls, but this youth-development
organization empowers underserved
students to provide technological
support and leadership in

Project: This project allows girls to
collaborate on STEM-focused endeavors.
Includes an online directory
of programs and resources
that encourage girls to pursue careers
