Brevard County Selects ClassLink LaunchPad™ Districtwide

ClassLink announces a multiyear districtwide adoption of ClassLink LaunchPad by Brevard County Schools. Brevard County Schools is the 48th largest school district in the U.S. and the 10th largest in Florida, with over 8,500 staff and 72,000 students.

ClassLink LaunchPad™ is a personal cloud desktop offering 500+ single sign-on’s to web and Windows applications, instant access to files at school and in cloud folders (Google Drive, Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive) from any device. LaunchPad is essential for 1to1 and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD).

“LaunchPad will provide anytime/anywhere access to all of our files and folders," said Matt Frey, Educational Technology Manager, Brevard Schools. "We have tested LaunchPad for six months; it provides a consistent cloud desktop across all devices, and will fully support our ‘Bring your Own’ initiatives.”

ClassLink LaunchPad will be the framework that ties together the disparate systems that collectively make up Brevard’s Learning Management System. LaunchPad uses the District’s Active Directory architecture to provide anytime/anywhere access to files and folders that would normally be inaccessible from outside the District network. LaunchPad has been fully tested by Brevard teachers, students and IT staff in their production network environment. This solution will be funded through the District’s local Race to the Top allocation.

Berj Akian, ClassLink Founder and CEO said, “Brevard County Schools’ initial pilot of LaunchPad was so successful that they decided to implement this robust solution across the entire district as soon as possible. We are excited to be a partner with one of the larger and more forward thinking school districts in the country and look forward to working with them to continually improve learning at Brevard Schools.”
