Samsung Partnership with HMH

Ergotron (www.ergotron.com) has released new tablet management carts, with capacity configurations of 16, 32, and 48 tablets. Available with or without LED Individual Status Indicators (ISI), the Tablet Management Cart retains the charging, syncing, and mobility functionality of Ergotron’s current tablet management products.

BenQ (www.benq.com) has released Classroom iQ, a suite of nextgeneration products that will introduce versatile new ways of both teaching and learning via today’s handheld devices. The suite includes IFPs, panels that bring touch technology and multimedia connectivity to the classroom. With 42-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch displays, the panels feature tile-friendly Windows 8 compatibility, full HD resolution, and integrated speakers.

Panasonic (www.panasonic.com) has released the i-PRO SmartHD 360° panoramic 3.0 megapixel dome cameras. Both the indoor (WV-SF438) and outdoor IP66- rated weather- and vandal-resistant (WVSW458) cameras feature a 360° lowprofile design and virtual pan/tilt/zoom operation that does not require a motor, enabling the camera to be placed in spaces where conventional PTZ cameras won’t fit.

ViewSonic (www.viewsonic.com) has announced seven new models within the PJD6 and PJD7 series of projectors. The PJD7 series is equipped with 4000 lumens brightness, HDMI connectivity, and wireless LAN display for heightened levels of brightness and resolution. The PJD6 series focuses on the need to deliver remote projector management for a user-friendly way to manage multiple networked projectors. Both series enable PC-less presentations by empowering users to connect with smartphones and tablets to wirelessly stream content from device to projector.

SMART Technologies (www.smarttech.com) introduces the SMART Table 442i collaborative learning center, a SMART Table that features an engaging 360-degree, multi-touch surface with a 42-inch highdefinition 1080p LCD display. The Mighty Scope Connect’s 30-foot range makes it practical for science labs, field trips, and presentations, with no need for an Internet connection or wireless network access.

The newest addition to the MimioClassroom (www.mimio.com) family, the MimioProjector interactive projector includes built-in tracking technology, a stereo amplifier, speakers, and the MimioStudio classroom software. Teachers can easily create multimedia lessons and then display those images on a dry-erase board or any other flat surface. Dualpen operations allow two students to simultaneously interact with the same projected image.

Epson (www.epsonbrighterfutures.com) has introduced the BrightLink 436Wi, a fully-integrated, portable, short-throw interactive projector. The BrightLink 436Wi is the first interactive, short-throw Epson projector that can be moved from room to room. It can project onto any existing whiteboard, wall, or other smooth, light-colored, hard surface. Teachers can connect existing multimedia devices, over their network or even PC-free, and keep writing.

Mitsubishi (www.mevsa.com) has released the LaserVue family of lampfree, environmentally-conscious portable projectors that create brilliant images with accurate colors using a technologically advanced light engine. The company has also announced the WD390U-EST cloud projector, which uses a built-in, thin client function to serve as a dynamic display device. Schools won’t need a computer for new builds or technology upgrades, making the projector a cost-efficient solution.

Califone (www.califone.com) has released the Lightweight Stereo Headphone (8200- HP). The headphone is purpose-built to accommodate regular student use in classrooms, libraries, and computer labs, featuring adjustable polypropylene headband and swiveling on-ear earcups to enhance student comfort.

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. (www.samsung.com) has announced a new line of A4 color multi-function printers. Ideal for classrooms of all sizes, the new CLX- 8640ND and CLX-8650ND models are built with dual-scan technology, saving time and company resources. The printers feature dual-scan technology, designed to automatically scan both sides of a document at once for faster output.
