News Hour Extra: Lesson Plan: How Wealth is Impacting the 2012 Elections

This lesson plan promises to help students look at an issue that will be at the heart of the election of 2012. Will income inequality play a significant role in the election? This lesson plan offers objectives for students grades 7-12, as well as a procedure to reach those objectives. Included are links to News Hour’s video, “Land of the Free, Home of the Poor,” as well as to an article from Pew Research Center. Also included are references to the National Standards covered by this lesson plan.
