Academy of American Poets: Poems for Your Pocket

4/17/2014 10:00:00 AM
Poetry ideas keep pouring in for National Poetry Month. Tomorrow is “Poem in Your Pocket” Day. You could write your own poem to share with someone, or you could look through your poetry books to find the perfect poems to share, or you could look at the poems on this site from poets.org to see what might interest you. Click on a pocket to find a poem to print out, one for you and one for a friend. There is also a series of poems for kids by poets you are sure to recognize. If you don’t find what you want here, browse through the site to find the perfect poem.
