ARTSEDGE: Adjective Monster

10/7/2013 5:00:00 PM
The entire ARTSEDGE site is dedicated to exploring ways of teaching and learning in all disciplines through the arts. This lesson for lower elementary students teaches students about adjectives and how to use them to describe monsters. In addition, it is a geometry lesson about shapes. Children learn the connection between visual art and language arts. The lesson includes an overview, the preparation necessary, the instruction plan, and printable worksheets of geometric shapes and an adjective sheet that separates adjectives describing emotion in one column and appearance in the other.
