CyberSchoolBus: Poverty Curriculum

7/26/2013 7:00:00 PM
CyberSchoolBus is a United Nations project that offers global teaching and learning resources for teachers and students. This site gives teachers a curriculum to be used for grades 5-12 in teaching about poverty in the United States and abroad. The content sections cover food, health, housing, education, and work and economic security. Each unit includes an explanation of the problem and an activity that helps students think about the topic by giving little vignettes about kids in many different countries. In addition, there are ideas for community service and a section that shows how different programs are helping people around the world.
