Presidents’ Day

2/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
Here’s a site from the US Mint that gives a brief history of how Presidents’ Day came to be celebrated on the third Monday of February. Although the focus really is on George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, this day offers a good opportunity to look at what many of our presidents have accomplished. Because this site is from the US Mint, one of the games asks users to figure out from the clues given what presidents’ heads are on the heads of which coins.
