The SIIA’s 2016 report focuses on online professional learning (PL) and provides insights on how educators are taking online PL courses, why they take them, and which courses they’re choosing. Key findings from this year’s report include:

■ The most popular online courses for educators from Pre-K-20 provide training for online software and digital resources and classroom management/behavior training.

■ Educators enroll in online PL courses when they’re personally interested in a subject.

■ Educators with less than 20 years of experience are more likely to enroll in an online course than those with more experience.
