Stars and Stripes Forever: Flag Facts for Flag Day

In the rush to end the school year, Flag Day, June 14, is often an ignored holiday. If you don’t use this great lesson plan in June, file it away for use another time so students can learn the history of this important American symbol. This lesson plan is for grades K-2 but could be adapted for older students too. Teach flag etiquette, history of the flag, and when Flag Day was designated as a holiday.
