Technology Education Webquest: Hurricanes

6/2/2014 5:00:00 PM
June 1 brought the beginning of hurricane season, which will last until November 30. Even if you don’t live in the path of a hurricane, your weather may be affected by hurricane activity. Use this Webquest to discover what the weather conditions are that create hurricanes, how hurricanes are classified, and how they are tracked. Use the several web sites provided to find answers to questions about hurricanes. Find out about the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale, and learn how to be safe in a hurricane. Watch a brief video showing a hurricane blowing ashore, and batten down the hatches.
