Bridging the Equity Gap with Innovative Connections
Most school leaders know that for the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) to be successful, every student must be connected both at school and at home. School districts of all sizes and income levels face barriers to this goal. Low-income districts face economic challenges, rural schools [struggle] to connect students across vast distances, and even wealthy schools have to develop creative infrastructure funding since they often can't take advantage of erate benefits.
The Fall 2017 SchoolCIO Summit will explore these challenges, and focus on innovative solutions that attendees can implement in their districts to get every student connected and close the equity gap.
