Second Life Educational Groups

One of the best ways to network and grow in Second Life is through involvement with groups, Second Life organizations developed by users.  With groups, you are notified of events, news, and other pertinent information related to the group’s focus.

If you are new to Second Life, be sure you join at least two groups that match your interest as soon as possible. To help you out, the information below talks about some excellent groups to get involved with in Second Life. And then provides instructions on how to join.

How to Join a Group

Joining a group is easy. If you know the group you wish to join, simply follow these steps:

1) Click the Find button and open the Groups tab
2) Type the name of the group you wish to join and click the Search button.
3) Click on the group entry and click Join button.
4) If the Join group button isn’t available, it means you must be invited. Don’t fret! This simply means you’ll need to visit the groups Second Life location or find a group officer that can invite you.
