The Bureau of Consumer Protection has set up four areas in its virtual mall that address advertising, identity theft, on-and off-line privacy, and business competition among many other topics. There are lots of opportunities for interaction with the avatars, and what you choose will lead you in different directions. As you play and make more informed choices, you will be increasing your consumer savvy in a really fun way. There’s a good explanation of what to do, a map of the mall topics, and a section for parents and teachers.
