Statistics for the elementary set? Use the ideas from this site to help your students understand how probability and statistics work in the real world. There are 17 objectives, each of which is accompanied by a problem, an activity that uses manipulatives, and a game. If an activity requires special cards or spinners, they are provided in PDF files to print off. Students learn vocabulary used in describing outcomes and need to write a sentence or two to explain the results of their problem-solving. Each game along with suggested adaptations reinforces the objective in a way that helps students understand that learning probability can be fun.
